IRAM (Instituto Argentino de Normalización y Certificación)

Purpose

Between consumer and producer by verifying appropriateness of product and system, we aim to establish national quality system using product information, extraction of sample, examination, inspection, and certification

Outline

• - IRAM as national organization for standardization, carry out national standard, quality and certification tasks following national act
• - IRAM council has made independent certifcation committee(Comité General de Certificación) and it perform IRAM mark approval, restriction, cancel, etc.
• - Mark is granted for IRAM or IEC standard appropriate product. If certifcation committee consider as applicable IRAM standard has not been updated as current techincal requirement, it can be requested to update standards. If relevant IEC standard is applied or applicable IEC standard does not exit, approval are soley decided by certification commission
• - Among regulated item if conformity certificate is not given from designated certification organization, export and sale in Argentina is impossible

Infleunce on our company

• - Argentina does not allow certifcated issued from Mercosur members
• - But certification issue from member, or from developed countries like U.S. and Europe can be used as reference when getting certificate from Argentina so it is recommended to get certificate from relatively easy country.
